I wonder, how can a coach consider the best players in the team to be willing to coach. I'm really not sure a great coach only wants to coach if the team has the best players because after all, a coach's job is to put together a great squad and not put the best players first. But yes, regarding Zidane it seems that at the start of every season it is always a hot topic to be associated with PSG. Because after all, with Zidane's status which is still unemployed and also, Zidane is from France, it is not surprising that Zidane is always associated with PSG as a rich team in Ligue 1.
I heard rumours that Zidane personally does not want to coach any team in France. And so Zidane is not interested in coaching a rich club like PSG. Taking charge of a team like PSG is very difficult. Also in the previous days we have seen PSG's coach management and players impressed. A coach cannot make independent decisions or arrange the squad. Zidane will not be interested in acting subserviently. This could also be a reason for PSG's rejection of Zidane's offer. But if PSG got an experienced coach like Zidane, maybe the team would have been able to play better in the Champions League.
Although there are always rumours in football it is true that Zinedine zidane has stated he would prefer not to lead a team in France. His selection can be motivated by a number of personal factors or a desire to look into coaching prospects outside of his home nation. Being a highly successful and well respected coach it makes sense that Zidane would want for a role where he can exercise significant autonomy and influence over team decisions. given that PSG is a wealthy club with its own well established management system zidane coaching style and philosophy may not be compatible which could result in a lack of interest on the side of both parties. Though it is exciting to consider the impact Zidane might have had on a team like psg given his Champions League success and experience.
