Celtics will still be up there as one of the favorites. How about taking CP3 in exchange of Smart? I think that will be a good deal for both teams since Wizards will likely let go of him anyway. Celtics will get a real point guard and a veteran at that to finally push this team. Chris Paul should have no problem in this since he'll be in a good team while Tatum and Brown will benefit from his mentorship.
No, no. I don't think so. Marcus Smart is a critical player for the Boston Celtics. I'd rather trade other players than him. They cannot break their trio. Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and him. But they might need a strong forward that would be good at pick and rolls to open them up.
Remember, ever since this trio was made and they just keep on changing their bench, they are always in the playoffs, or better, in the Finals.
It's not CP3 that they need, they have too many ball handlers with Malcolm Brogdon and Derrick White. Marcus Smart is not bad at ball handling too, but it is his defense that can outsmart other players. (no pun intended)
News from Adrian Wojnarowski.
ESPN Sources: As expected, Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma has declined his $13 million player option and become a free agent. Kuzma will be one of the marketplace’s most prominent players. A return to Washington on a new deal remains a possibility.

He can now shoot 21 points average which puts him in the list of players that will be targeted if they need a big shooter. Either he wants a salary increase or he wants to be traded to a championship-caliber team. Their agents are doing a nasty job this year. More money.
