Scotland has registered their first win in the Cricket World Cup qualifier by defeating Ireland with a last ball thriller. But, Scotland was struggling with a score of 152/7 while chasing a target of 287 runs, but very fortunately they managed to turn things around them. Credit goes to sensational partnership between Michael Leask and Watt. Yet another heart break defeats for Ireland.
This was certainly one of the best matches I have recently seen. When Scotland lost seven wickets, I was almost sure that they are not going to be able to win. But I have to say they lost the first seven wickets because they actually played a little reckless cricket.
And after that Ireland probably started taking things a little easier because they probably thought there was no way Scotland was going to be able to win. Sadly Scotland proved them wrong. I also have to say that Scotland was really lucky to win this match. Because even in the last ball anything could have happened. A ball which was such wide was eventually an inside edge, which also went for four in the end.
