Chelsea has performed admirably this season but I share your concerns that they will not be able to contend for the EPL championship the next year. Undoubtedly the squad has a lot of talented players but there is a clear lack of synergy between them that hurts their performance as a whole. They appear to be under additional pressure to prove themselves as a result of the weight of their hefty price tags. Sadly this has led to a lack of joy and a load that prevents them from playing. With Pochettino as the new coach there is reason for optimism since the team may develop the required respect for the process thanks to his strategic thinking and composed demeanour. Chelsea would benefit from studying the strategies of successful teams like Manchester United under Ferguson Manchester City under Guardiola Arsenal under Wenger/Arteta and Atletico Madrid under Simeone. Chelsea should strive to emulate these clubs distinctive playing styles regardless of the final score.
If it is said to be impressive, I don't necessarily agree. The fact remains that Chelsea finished in 12th position on the Premier League table, which is their worst performance in the past decade. Certainly, this cannot be attributed solely to the coach and players' fault there are numerous other factors that contributed to their decline this season.

On the other hand, we might agree that it is uncertain whether Chelsea will be able to win the EPL next season. It seems more realistic to suggest that their target would be to secure a place in the Champions League. Despite their active involvement in the transfer market this time around, let us also consider what they have actually done. They sold Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Kante to the Arab League. Additionally, if they were to genuinely let go of Kai Havertz to Arsenal, it would be quite surprising. Considering they have only brought in a coach with minimal titles and sold their star players, it is undoubtedly disappointing for their fans.

Let us also wait until August 31, 2023, to see who will arrive at Stamford Bridge. Only then can we truly predict where they will finish next season. I believe that with these few facts in mind, we can have a more accurate comparison.
