If you currently using Lightning and have an open channel and want to receive BTC through Lightning then that Node ID should be considered as your wallet address.
No, the "Lightning Node ID" can't be used to receive bitcoins through lightning, thus, not considered the same as an address.
In lightning, it's his "Lightning Request" that acts like an address. It's the invoice that starts with "ln".

For clarification, you can find the Lightning Node ID in "Wallet->Information".
