With the budget AC Milan has its going to be difficult to make any high profile signing this summer.
They can still play well and perform better with what they have or with whatever they can get, but that's a very big gamble. Now, not only are the focused on players to sign, but they are also focusing on a technical director to hire.
Personally, I believe a good technical director will make good signing. So if the person taking over is not very good at his job it will be a very big issue for Milan.
This season, the Rossoneri have 20W 10D 8L and are ranked fourth on the table, putting them in contention to compete in UCL action next season. Stefano Pioli, the rossoneri's manager, did his job and bears no guilt from the fans. AC Milan tightens their transfer budgets, the board needs to see good results in the club, they have potential and excellent players, and the key question is, why are they not winning trophies? AC Milan had a good season despite failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League final, where they were defeated by Inter Milan.
If you count that number, they are actually ranked 5th, it's just that they were lucky because Juventus received a point deduction sanction which made them have to give up the 10 points they managed to collect.
Overall, I can say that AC Milan is playing well and is like any other average club, except for Napoli, which is very superior in Serie A this season. But even though they are playing well, they are not that strong to compete for a title, so there must be changes that will make them even more solid, one of which is by bringing in new, quality players. The problem now is that they seem to have difficulty meeting all those needs.
