If the team isn't performing well, changing lots of Ac Milan players won't help them advance; think of the Chelsea team, which has changed coaches more than twice and yet hasn't done well this season. I'm not arguing that replacing Maldini will not benefit AC Milan, but what I'm trying to convey is that it's best to proceed cautiously when replacing players or coaches who are giving their all to a team.
Since Ac Milan is one of the top teams in serie A and they want to perform well in the champions league every year, I have faith that they will try again the following year.

I don't know if it will get better or not, because for me personally Milan really needs to do a big overhaul and maybe with a revamp like that Milan will be even better. Because after all, so far even though Milan can compete in the top zone in the Serie A standings, but for me personally Milan's performance is still not completely good and strong. Therefore, with the reshuffling of the squad and their management, I hope Milan can be even better than before and I can't compare from the example of Chelsea.
The problem is I think for this season Milan are still not able to do that.
They may look fine but we realise that they're not completely fine because their finances are still being eroded at the moment and they still haven't been able to make their financial situation change.
With the reshuffle of the players might be able to make Milan different, it's just that this requires a large capital and Milan will not be able to afford it.
Now there is new capital with Tonali's transfer to Newcastle (If it happens) then around 70 million they can get and that can make them breathe a little but of course losing Tonali and even before that losing Brahim Diaz who returned to Madrid this will certainly provide a big gap for Milan.
70 million from the sale of Tonali can handle that but on the other hand of course not everything can be fixed for next season.
