The exposure the thread gives them is it a positive or a negative influence? As already discussed if you should search for "1xbit.com reviews" here or on Google most of the results that pops up are scam accusation, and if a newbie should come to bitcointalk to read the ANN that you made mention of they'll be welcomed by scam accusation and warnings from forum members which in the case is very good.
