It’s absurd to think or assume that people who are poor lack the desire to become rich or improve their conditions (because why would anyone prefer poverty?). Poverty is a complex problem with several underlying factors. You should be quite aware that people who stay poor are bounded by limitations such as good education, social networks (connections in high places), socioeconomic inequalities, discrimination, uneven distribution of resources, etc. which hinders individuals’ ability to acquire necessary knowledge and skills to chase life-changing opportunities even if they have the motivation and aspire to do so.
Please I urge you approach issue of poverty with empathy and understanding.
It is true that certain individuals lack the drive to pursue riches but it will be unfair to generalize it to everyone living in poverty.
There are a lot of poor people who strive daily to get rich, but life has been constantly happening to them.
