After Bellingham decided to go to Real Madrid, now Dortmund have found a replacement and are one step away from reaching an agreement with Edson Alvarez from Ajax. He is a pretty good midfielder and while joining Ajax, starting from the 19/20 season, he has won several titles with Ajax.
My prediction is that it will end like Bellingham, Haaland and several other players, Dortmund will make this player a star that many clubs are after and after that they will sell him for a profit. Edson Alvarez has indeed become one of the shining football players at Ajak and the Dortmund scout team is very good at seeing this potential.
According to sources, an agreement will be reached in a week's time and the transfer fee is still yet to be revealed, but I don't think it will be expensive. Dortmund seems to be recruiting again for the next talented player and if Edson Alvarez manages to prove his performance in Dortmund, of course it will make his name bigger in the future.
Dortmund will always be involved in creating talented players and they will buy players at low prices and then sell them at quite fantastic prices. They have practiced this style for a long time, but unfortunately they did not try to build a club to challenge for champions in the Bundesliga or the Champions League and in the end they always failed to reach the peak of the club's success.
I don't think this pattern will encourage Dortmund to achieve great success and instead they will only be involved as a shadow of Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, while fans hope that Dortmund can improve and compete again to come out as champions.
