Most times we use our phones when we are free and less busy, so why the need to remove the welcome name from the home page of the forum?
Some people may actually feel unsafe with that, but I am always happy to see my username displayed on the home page.
Let me emphasize on what Dave1 said. Most people are actually wary of exposing their username when in public because it actually breaches their privacy. In a real sense imagine me having to be caught up in same place with you and without you having a knowledge that I am member of Bitcointalk forum you open your account and your username shows up, then I have actually known the person behind that account. If at all we later got some sort of issues on the forum, then your safety isn’t guaranteed, considering the fact that I already know you.
