Hi I have been toying with the idea of investing in BTC but have waited due to some investors saying the price will drop to 12 - 16k again. do you think it could still drop to this or are we more likely to move on up to 40k?

We have been supporting bitcoin and so far even when we thought the market was going to affected again because of the SEC, Binance and Coinbase issue, it didn't bulge. And we are glad it it. If this isn't a good time to invest in bitcon, when? Yesterday was a great day and time to buy bitcoin. The next best time or day to buy bitcoin is today. This present day. And the good thing about it is that you can buy as much as you want and as much as you can afford. You can buy today and choose to buy tomorrow again or monthly whatever works for you.
When the OP wrote this about 2 months ago bitcoin's price was at $28k today, it is at $30k plus soon it will break the $30,500 threshold. You are still early, and you do not have to wait for price drop before you invest but then this decision is solely up to you.
