The effect of Saudi teams in the market was not something small, they spend huge amounts of money to hire the players they want, and since many other teams and players are not expecting to see this amount of money they ask for higher offers and this changed the market situation, which is hard for many other teams with a bad financial situation.
Other transfer windows are very different from this one; we have substantial bids coming in from the Saudi league, which has fully dominated the market. In the transfer window, we have beneficial as well as detrimental bids. This season, Saudi Arabia clubs have favorably influenced the football market by giving massive bids for players, and these players are tempted to take the offer without hesitation. Saudi Arabia's pro league is attempting to make itself appear popular and more competitive, I understand the direction they're coming from.
I am having a great feeling that after this transfer season, UEFA will find a way to regulate Saudi Arabia pro league even if it's not in their jurisdiction. How sure are we that FIFA financial rule applies to SPL?
If nothing is done about this trend, any player older than 30 may be leaving the European clubs to retire in Arab. Who knows if the government is sponsoring these clubs?
