It must be really devastating for Portland to hear about this from Lillard. His last season performance was also incredible as he had an average of 32 points scored. But all this high effort was for nothing because Portland were still a mess as they couldn't even make it to the playoffs. Lillard still wanted to stay for many years here.
Well, that's what they get for not providing enough help for Lillard to at least experience to be in the NBA finals. They were too comfortable with Lillard being fine with them just because he said he'd love to stay in Portland at one time. But, not every player would stick around knowing that it becomes more and more hopeless for him every year to win a chip.
So, I guess pulling up a LeBron-like decision would be what Lillard are most likely going to do.
He can go to Miami and win ring and then come back to Portland and win another ring there lol. This was tweeted actually and he likes it.

This is a prime example of. If you have a good player on the team, you should actually try to keep him happy end. Keep him in the team at all costs. Because at the moment he is even a little unhappy, he is in to have a lot of options. And I think we can agree that a player is most likely going to exercise his options. And I do not think anyone can actually playing the player for doing so. If a player is not finding success in this current team, he is going to try to find it somewhere else.
