By the way, it's still a mystery, what actually happened and why.
This whole event was definitely the weirdest thing this year. One theory I heard which sounded interesting was that Putin wanted to remove a potential future threat to Russia this is also why he has been removing all extremists from the military and his cabinet in general. The last piece of the puzzle was the Wagner group which they said they must only operate under the Russian military's command from now on.
I do not think that the last theory is valid for verification as much as it resembles a trap to trap them all, especially since all reports indicate that Russia does not know who these fighters are or their nationalities because they are supposed to be mercenaries. This is in addition to the fact that the process of containing this group, if it actually happened, would prove Russia’s official involvement in all the operations carried out by Wagner in various regions around the world, such as Syria, Libya and Venezuela, which Russia has always denied since it does not officially support the Wagner group as a private military company, since Russian laws do not allow this.
One of the important operations of this group has been in Africa where they kicked French forces out. Interestingly enough after these shenanigans Wagner still continues operating in Africa like before despite France hoping something would change so they could move in again.

Not only in Africa. This group was operating as the active military arm of a force similar to the local efforts of the resistance in any country in which they were active, and this explains why it was not taken into consideration as a hostile force with the logic of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." This also explains the eagerness of the anti-Russian forces to support Wagner's coup against it, without taking into account the political branches in the Kremlin.
France's current situation does not serve its position claiming to protect human rights, and it will have nothing to explain the interference of external forces in its internal affairs, including the logistical support that groups like Wagner or others may provide.

In Russia, it's a matter of hours to go from the beloved hero to the hated "enemy" Smiley Yesterday they were greeted in Voronezh and Rostov as liberators, applauded and photographed. And the central government presented them as heroes "of all outlets. And tomorrow they suddenly became "conspirators" Smiley
But let's leave this subject to the Russians - it's their mental problem.

The Wagner PMC is not only fighters, it is a "black economy".  Through the Wagner PMCs in Africa was built quite a profitable business associated with gold and other valuable minerals. This is no longer a secret. And it is not Prigozhin's money that was invested in Wagner PMCs, but the Kremlin's. This is also no secret, and quite recently this has been in public sources in Russia itself.

But ... As the saying goes, "No matter how much you twist the rope, the end will come" and so will Wagner PMC.
- January 2023, the U.S. recognized the Wagner PMC as a criminal organization and imposed sanctions on companies associated with it. The U.S. Treasury Department recognized the Eugene Prigozhin's Vagner PMC as a transnational criminal organization, the agency's website reported on Thursday.
- 14 March 2023 The first EU country recognized the Wagner PMC as a terrorist organization. The Lithuanian parliament has recognized the Wagner PMC, involved in a full-scale war against Ukraine, as a terrorist organization, which became the first such case in the European Union.
- 10 May 2023 French Parliament recognized the Wagner PMC as a terrorist organization
- June 2023, the European Parliament is preparing to declare the Wagner PMC a terrorist organization.

What does this mean? This means that now with respect to any person who is a member of these PMCs, from the rank-and-file to Prigozhin, no rules of law are applicable. They will simply be destroyed. Forget about business at all.
