Well, honestly in Bundesliga and Ligue 1, apart from Bayern Munich, Dortmund mainly and PSG +/- Lens and Marseille, the other teams are quite normal although their big names and the name of the players they have.
I don't think that you fully understand the current gap between Saudi league and Budesliga/Ligue 1. Former is ranked somewhere between 50-60 strongest league, which is equivalent of German 3rd league and for that kind of league to come into top 5 you would need an insane amount of money, especially in the country that is not known by its rich football history. Also keep in mind that they don't produce their own quality players (unlike Bundesliga and Ligue 1) which is another big proble,.
If we incorporate the teams that Saudis are trying to build by recruiting many European players then they will be as competitive as Marseille and Lens, or Leipzig and Leverkusen for exemple. The remaining Saudi teams if they pick similar players then we will have something similar to Bundesliga and Ligue 1. Dunno if you understood what I meant.
Do you really think that all Saudi clubs have that kind of money, to indefinitely keep grossly overpaying players in order for them to come here? Of course they don't, and this trend will eventually die out, like it happened with China. I see this trend merely as a Saudi Arabia attempt to be a host of 2030 World Cup, which I don't think it will happen.
