Manchester United are still messing around with one of the best goalkeeper in the world, I'm talking about David de Gea. With UTD thinking of getting Onana from Inter Milan, I feel is not going to work out as it stands. While the dedicated goalkeeper of UTD has given the Manchester United board a big yes that he wants to stay but it seems they're taking him for granted, first they didn't accept his proposal as to agree to his terms and now they're making him look like he has no other choice, yes David de Gea made the UTD board to see that his committed to the club that's why they don't want to give him what he wants, if I were to be the keeper I'd increase my salary to even make them seek for my service not the other way round. To me I feel he should leave the team and besides they (UTD) don't have much to spend, since they have spent half of the money on getting Mount and this window might be another worst transfer window for them.
Onana is a fine replacement for David De Gea who is currently the longest serving player at Manchester United. De Gea’s time at Manchester United has been amazing and he has won a number of trophies with the club. It is sad to part ways after such history shared but even good things come to an end and his Manchester United stay is no exception. Onana’ s signing will trigger DeGea’s departure for sure.
So far, Manchester United have not officially made an offer for the Inter Milan goalkeeper, whether it seems they still need funds to be able to ensure they can pay the transfer fee if the offer is approved by Inter Milan, or it could be because the takeover of the club has not yet reached a bright spot, so Ten Haag's move in the transfer market is not so flexible.
David de Gea is certainly uncomfortable with all the news, after more than a decade as a player at Man United his mistakes have made him look bad, but de Gea will quickly be able to find a new club if Man United finally succeeds in signing Onana, because he was one of the best goalkeeper at the moment, going back to Spain and playing in one of the Laliga clubs will be possible and hopefully he doesn't choose the arab league, however the money offered can be very tempting.
What I know at the moment is that Manchester United have made the first offer with 40 + 5 million as a bonus for Onana but that was immediately rejected by Inter because they want around 60 million with a breakdown of 50 + 10 million for bonuses for this player.
I think if indeed Manchester United want a successor for De Gea this time then it is indeed the same scheme as Mount when they arrived with Chelsea.
Inter will not release their assets easily because they also realize Onana is one of the players who contributed to Inter this season so they will not release it easily.
