A distinctive lack of self-reflection is something very common these days, in my experience many people have very short attention spans and they do not think long term, so they simply react to whatever happens to them, and instead of making a small research and finding out that obtaining profits out of gambling is almost impossible, they keep trying, and once they lose they keep trying anyway as at some point they think their luck will change.
After playing gambling several times, they should be able to reflect on what happened after they decided to play gambling to see whether gambling brought or gave good or bad results. If gambling brings good results in a sense, they can still gamble but must still be able to control themselves and not cross the line. Meanwhile, if they lose, they should try to reduce the time they gamble and even stop gambling before they get into a lot of trouble from gambling.
Better overview and good control of your emotions are the things that you need to equipt yourself when you are into gambling.
It's tough to maintain your self-control as gambling is really addicting, and without that control you are
risking a lot, not just your money, but also your health.
Giving enough time to always assess the result and having a good mentality to avoid doing unnecessary action when
you are already on the losing side.
