Atletico Madrid is only limited to the favorite team in the top four positions, they still have difficulty surpassing Barcelona and Real Madrid because the squad they have is still below the quality of Barcelona and Real Madrid. Atletico need to make big purchases in the transfer market to become competitors to Barcelona and Real Madrid in fighting for the title, so far the La Liga trophy has been alternately won by Barca and Madrid.
Diego Simeone is a good coach, he also has the credibility to bring Atletico to win La Liga, the problem is that failed to bring Atletico to win La Liga because the squad they have is not ready to compete with Barca and Madrid. I really dream of Atletico being transformed like Arsenal who spend large amounts of money to bring in quality players, if Atletico dares to bring in some quality players, they will be ready to compete for first place in the standings list.
As things are going into La Liga I am not agreed with you about this because I have feeling only two teams can fight for the title and these are Barcelona and Real Madrid with Atlético Madrid has never been title contender in last few seasons if they want to win then surely they have to change their tactics and also change of coach is must as well otherwise they will be going to end again at third or fourth place with Sevilla is also having no chance even they won Europa Cup but in La Liga they were badly down and out of top 10.
Atlético Madrid needs to be a completely new team with strong strategy and better coach if they want to be strong title contender because currently they are doing things for the transfers which are giving them good profit, and they are enjoying this all with current way most chances they will again stay into top four and having chance for the top 16 in Champions League as well.
