Currently there is news that in the end Osimhen will extend his contract with Napoli because seeing from the current conditions where Madrid did not move and Manchester United did not make an offer for him, it is indeed likely that a contract extension will be made by Osimhen.
Actually this has been awaited by Napoli too because seeing from the season before it ended they had offered a new contract for this player but were still held back because at that time there were quite a lot of clubs who wanted Osimhen's services, but when the price set by Napoli was quite high then one by one the clubs who wanted Osimhen to leave.
It is clear from the hefty asking price that Napoli is committed to keeping Osimhen as their mainstay player. They are reluctant to sell him since they understand how important he is to the squad. Napoli though has a well thought out plan in place even if a team were to pay the asking amount. They already know other players who can make a big difference and help them maintain their domination in the standings. Because of this even though worries over Napoli future in the summer may surface it is crucial too have faith in their capacity to adapt and flourish. Napoli will surely be able to keep up their position as one of the top competitors in Serie A thanks to their shrewd management and unwavering ambition.
I support the decision taken by Napoli. I also understand that their selling Victor Osimhen is eventually going to result in them not being able to perform as well as they did in the last season. It is also really interesting decision by the player to stay in the team. If he wanted, he could leave the team. But he did not.
I don’t know if the contract is already accepted by Victor Osimhen, but I think he is going to stay and it is going to be a great decision for him as well. He is already performing really well in the team. That is going to give him more confidence as he has already proved himself with Napoli. I do believe that he will have to get better at one thing which is converting more percentage of chances into goals. I did see him missing some easy shots in the last season.
