Another move from Khelaifi today. He said Mbappe got 2 weeks to make the decision about himself and extend his contract or he will have to leave PSG or another team.
This can show us that Khelaifi is again putting more pressure on Mbappe to stay there in PSG otherwise the doors are open for Mbappe and he get closer to Real Madrid.
Qatar Sports Investments is a business organization and not a charity organization. Their main goal is to make a profit. If Mbappe fails to renew his contract, we will work out of PSG as a free agent which means the club will get nothing from his transfer move. Mbappe is not a player that any club will just want to lose without any financial benefit. He was given everything he need from the club. He is the captain, enjoys a high wage, and makes input in the decision making the club. He was even respected more than Messi and Neymar. His misbehavior was tolerated by the management. Now he wants to repay the club by leaving without any benefit. I support the club, if he is not willing to sign at least a one-year extension deal, let him leave now.
But the fact is that he can not be forced out of the club if the clause in his current contract doesn't mandate him to extend his deal. If he refuses to extend his contract, PSG will have no other option but to let him remain in the club till the end of his contract. But any club that is wiling to sign him can come up with a bid. But I am sure many interested clubs will want to get him at the end of next season because of the financial implication of getting him this year.
