I don't think the fire that Liverpool once had is there anymore.
Liverpool lost some key players last season and the new players who joined them did not immediately fit in. They will perform better this season.
All new players at any club will definitely need adaptation to be able to keep up with the game from that club so it is only natural that new players owned by Liverpool cannot play optimally.
But after playing for one season, I think it's enough for them, the new Liverpool players, to be able to play well and be able to collaborate with other players.
Even though they can play well this season, that doesn't guarantee they can win the title.
But at least if you can finish the season in the top 4 Liverpool will get a ticket for the Champions League next season.
Liverpool really did not get good achievements last season but that does not mean they will repeat the same mistake this season. The new season is a moment for a change, and I think Liverpool will definitely make good preparations so they can get back on the title race.
So also the same thing I am expecting from Arsenal, last season was a mess for them, I don't know if they even see it that way, considering the fact that they ended the season as the second runner-up 🥈, many of my friends say that Arsenal ending last season in the second place was a big achievement for them, but I just don't agree with them, they were very close to winning the title, but all of a sudden, it looked as if their winning streak got into there heads and their game play automatically changed , which resulted to them losing so many games as well points.
You're partially right, Arsenal FC truely lost their winning streak towards the end of last season but in my opinion, i believe it takes more than a perfect winning streak to win a league, Arsenal FC was fantastic and performed outstandingly last season but all of these credits were as a resultant of their woeful performance over the decades despite being one of the biggest teams of all time in England. Arsenal FC squad was not very special on paper, if only we can all admit that they never had a top tier squad before the season started, they only built a squad out of tenacity and hard work which was totally different from every football fan's initial sentiment. In conclusion, i feel Arsenal was lucky with fixtures at the earlier stage of the season and unlucky with fixtures towards the end of the season, they faced tougher opponents like playing relegation zone teams, rivals and other Europa competion spot contenders which they couldn't withstand due to there lack of squad depth to manage fatigues and injuries through team rotation, the gunners were fantastic and them ending up as the first runner-up last season was a big achievement. It was a league competition, all moments counts till the 38th match day let's all not forget.
