Staying an extra year is at Fernebhache doesn't mean Barcelona will not sign him. Very he developed well or not he would have still gone to Barcelona. The deal was Barcelona sign him this summer and he'll b on loan at Fenerbahce for another season.
The reason Real Madrid got was not only because they would sign him this summer and he'll join them this summer, but Madrid paid above his release clause. Barça cannot financially compete with Real Madrid in a bidding war right now, and secondly, Güler was a player Barcelona wanted, they didn't really need him.
Güler signing for Madrid is good for him. I'm very certain he'll fight his way to become a first team player. I believe in him that much.
