You know absolutely nothing about an altcoin, unless you have insider information, which is not the case for the vast majority of retail traders.

I am forced to speak about this by my own experience.

You know absolutely nothing about an altcoin, unless you have insider information, which is not the case for the vast majority of retail traders.

To do this, the altcoiner has other metrics, such as tokenomics, unlocks, or a price chart. In your opinion, in order to profit from an altcoin, only insider information is needed? I have bad news for you, it's not. By the way, altcoins are much more friendly to small deposits than bitcoin. Altcoins also have extremely profitable avenues for small investors, such as venture investing and rewards for early activity in various protocols.

You know nothing about bitcoin in the short-term either, but at least you know it can't disappear.

I know enough about the short-term behavior of bitcoin, because I have the experience of several thousand short-term transactions on exchanges, from 2018 to 2021 inclusive. In short-term trading, bitcoin's inability to disappear is of little value. In short-term trading, in general, the fundamental features of an asset are of no value to a trader. They are of value to long-term traders and holders.

By the way, the fact that it cannot disappear is not 100% certain, because we cannot look into the future, we can only hope that this behavior of Bitcoin will be stable. As they like to say here, past events are no guarantee of future events.
