but for those who are already addicted to gambling, this life saving phrase is very hard to implement. if not address early, the person will indeed be on the brink of self-destruction as well as destroying his family. because whatever his decisions will be, his immediate family is more then likely affected.
so if you think you are the one who is heading to addiction, pause for a while and contemplate on what you really want in life.
for me one of the most interesting things to think about is the "why?"
why some people end up in a situation like spending all the money they have (and sometimes even they don't have, going in debt) on gambling?
why some people get to this situation and are able to get back stronger and other no?
faith? culture? genetics? good choice bad choice?
really like these misteries.
human behavior is very random, some people have control when gambling, some other people are very addicted to gambling and some others really don't like gambling, there is no definite formula in this and the way to handle it is very different.
but the thing to remember is, not many people are desperate to be in debt or commit crimes such as robbing or stealing just to be able to gamble, those who do this are definitely those who are very desperate and can't control their desire to gamble (it makes no difference with animals)
