The first half is not yet ended. Im thinking all of mu fans are also waiting for this match as they will be able to watch mount's debut. My expectation was too big for him. Even though this is a friendly match but it can be a good match for judging his performance during the pre season.
It seemed to me that if mount is not worth his price. There is still lots of time for him to make improvement. Mount needs to adapt and build chemistry with another player in the club.
His debut it's not so amazing like what i have expected.
Zidane Iqbal was Manchester United's most outstanding player during last season pre-season but when the season kicked off, it was Garnacho that stole the spotlight. It just a friendly game whether Mason Mount did not perform to your expectations is not enough reason to conclude about him yet. The pre-season games most coaches and players don't take it seriously, they see it as an opportunity to prepare for the up-coming season, get some minutes, try some tactics and introduce new players to the team. When the season finally kicks off and he does not live up to your expectations then you're welcome to throw stones at him.
