Many tasks await Pochettino since starting his new adventure with Chelsea, he needs to build a solid squad with good chemistry between his fellow players. Building a team full of newly-arrived players is not an easy job for Pochettino, he has to do a number of experiments in formations to determine which players are still in the core squad.
Pochettino can use the pre-season to test how strong his team is, he needs to find the right formation to bring Chelsea to the top four.
I don't think Pochettino will make a big impact on Chelsea's performance in his first season as coach.
Mauricio Pochettino is one of the top European coaches, but I think his experience and strategy have not been able to win so many titles with the teams he has coached. Mauricio Pochettino didn't win a title with Tottenham in his time in the Premier League, so that will be my consideration in assessing his worth at Chelsea next season.
I would be very surprised if Pochettino was able to turn Chelsea into the most fearsome team in a single season in the Premier League but I highly doubt it will work for him next season. I don't think Chelsea will be much different from last season but some improvement in form will surely be a result of Pochettino's arrival.
