Klopp tried to convince Mane to stay but he did not want any offer from Klopp and Liverpool. He only wanted to leave the club, to be free from a competition with Mohamed Salah and he wanted to be a best player in Liverpool which he did not get and will not get it in Anfield.
We know between Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, they had a competition internally in Liverpool but Sane had to sacrifice more to contribute for general benefit of Liverpool. He did it in some season but two seasons ago is when he felt that he need to leave.
However, Mane did not think about what Bayern needed after Lewandowski departure, a striker. He is not good at that position so moving to Bayern Munich to replace Lewandowski is a very bad idea. His performance for them in the last season when he was not injured, proves that he is not good enough as a striker.
Observing the shifting circumstances around Sadio Mané career is truly disappointing. Last summer Klopp emphasised his desire for Mané to remain at Liverpool showing his gratitude for the player contributions. Mané refusal to stay put though has brought him to Bayern Munich where things have taken a bad turn. Mané reputation may have changed as a result of the alleged incident with Sané as even Bayern Munich is no longer interested in signing him for the forthcoming campaign mostly because of the financial load of his pay. Senegalese citizens must provide Mané with sound advice during this trying moment supporting and advising him as he makes his way through this trying stage of his career.
