Bitcoin has plenty of potential but it does require certain things to continue successfully -- like electricity and the internet. With the world on the brink of ww3, we better do something if we're to have these basic things moving forward. 
I don't believe in conspiracy theories, but if we agree with you that the world is on the brink of world war 3, who is going to care about BTC then, there will be other things on your priority list, like staying alive and getting food to eat, you'll want to have only fiat then because nobody is going to be exchanging their fiat for your BTC's, so you can't even spend it.
