There are 4 teams that will represent the Premier League in the Champions League, namely Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle. Among the 4 teams above, I can say that Arsenal and Manchester City are teams that tend to be more stable. I'm not looking down on Newcastle and Manchester United, but Arsenal and Manchester City are two teams that I think have a higher chance of surprising again next season.
I expected Manchester City to come back to a second final in two seasons in a row, but of course it is very difficult because there are many other teams who will be hoping for the same place in the Champions League.
The champions league is a very competitive league where all teams come prepared for that tournament. The underdogs in some other domestic leagues may still perform far better than the best teams in other leagues and could even eliminate them if not played with caution with them.
Manchester City might be the best team last season, but this season they might likely not be able to go far as the previous season as more eyes are already on them and every team coming to play them would have trained extra just to defeat the defending champions.
