Manchester United's opening proposal for Andre Onana was £38.5 million (€45 million), but Inter Milan values the goalkeeper at £51 million (€60 million), so the parties are attempting to reach an agreement. The 27-year-old ex-Cameroon international joined Inter on a five-year deal from Ajax last summer. Inter director Piero Ausilio has stated that offers for Onana will be considered as the club looks to acquire funds to support a move for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.
Manchester United should not undervalue Onana who is a goalkeeper that they really need since they no longer have a first choice goalkeeper. The price that Inter Milan have demanded is fair enough and Manchester United can afford to pay unless they have an alternative. Onana has experience and was very good in the Champions league as a shot stopper also as goalkeeper that can pass the ball from behind. Manchester United will increase their interest if other clubs show interest and try to start negotiation with Inter Milan for Onana.
