For me personally, if Newcastle doesn't have many new recruits in this transfer market, then it doesn't look like Newcastle has a good chance of going further. But yes, if in this transfer market Newcastle manages to bring in new players which of course are accompanied by good skills and potential, then this could give Newcastle a better chance of getting to the round of 16 and or maybe even getting to the quarter-finals. But as a team that has been consistent for two consecutive seasons in the Premiere League, then at least Newcastle getting a Champions League ticket is already a success for them at this moment.
Recruiting the new talents don't give you guarantee if you will able to win UCL trophy. Why are you seeing if the new players are very importants to compete in UCL? what really needed by the club to own some people who can build chemistry together.
This is why the new player rarely needed when it comes to the UCL. it's caused by a club with good chemitry who gonna be able to win UCL trophy. Newcastle is coming as a new competitor in UCL.
Eddie just need to recruit the new player that will able to give contribution to the club. Newcastle has found some during the transfer season but i didn't name of tonali in newcastle's pre season list.
I would prefer to see newcastle is trying to focus in building chemistry rather than always try to buy the new player from another club. I knew that newcastle if richest club in EPL now.
