Gamblers are desperate and willing to take any risk for the purpose to place wagers in the system. Loss is impossible to avoid; quantifying losses merely contributes to the instability of our emotions, regrets, and feelings of remorse for what we have done. Addiction is the most devastating incident that can happen to a gambler; it is one of the extreme levels that will undoubtedly result in losses and account liquidation. Gambling is simple to begin but extremely difficult to stop; I've come across numerous gamblers who tried everything they could to stop but couldn't, instead preferring to indulge in gambling further.
Yeah, it's a tricky addiction, because it's so expensive.
You can literally lose all your life savings in an afternoon.
Nothing else comes even close, no drugs or luxurious lifestyle can get to that level. There's just not enough time to spend that much on things or experiences, whereas in a casino you can lose it all in minutes.
People who are alcohol addict, their mind stops working when they drink more alcohol but still they don't make decision which ruin their lives whereas the gambling addicts are so cruel to themselves, their mins is also working yet they keep on playing, take loan, sell their belongings only to play more gamble or recover their losses.
I guess the reason for this is that there is money addiction, greediness in gambling, which may not be in other forms of addiction.
