Manchester City annihilated Arsenal to win the English Premier League title, but it was one that was challenging for both Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta. Arsenal already had all they needed to improve their performance; the upcoming season will be extremely competitive, as every elite club is accumulating strength and resolving issues in order to be fully prepared for next season's difficulties. Mikel Arteta trusted in his players, and the supporters' chanting elevated the players' performance and point totals at Emirates Stadium. I'm patiently waiting for next season.
The challenges that the coach will face are much bigger this season than last season, Arsenal are trying to make amends by bringing in several new players as a result of being beaten by Manchester City in the race for the EPL title. The challenge facing Arsenal is not only Manchester City, other elite teams are starting to show their strength after forming a new squad. Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle are already on a good track when viewed in terms of the squad they have.
The more clubs that will compete in fighting for the title, the more competitive the competition will be. Arsenal cannot be overly confident this season, Arteta needs to be wary of the new strength that Liverpool and Chelsea have, if they don't consistently maintain their performance they will be knocked out of the top four.
