Personally, I will also choose Bitcoin over any other ALTS every time. But I won't discourage those who can make profits investing in altcoins. It should be a personal preference. Let people do what they are doing.

What I think altcoins are is a way to make quick money from the hype and move on to something new. Altcoins are not that useful the way they say they are. They can not live up to their promises. People invest in them so that they can use the hype to sell at high. I don't see any other uses of alts. It is not something that you can hodl for a long time as Bitcoin. And why is that? it is because they are centralized. This makes hodling more difficult because you never know what they will do to it. Could be a part of a scam. Which is never an issue with Bitcoin. It is decentralized and it will stay like this.

So I have to agree with you. Bitcoin was, is, and will be the best. But if you can make money out of any other altcoins, then why lose that opportunity right?
