Joselu was brought in by Real Madrid on loan, his presence in the Real Madrid squad was only to fill the void in the vacant striker position. He is projected as a temporary alternative, Real Madrid is still hunting for another, more qualified striker to serve as a mainstay player in the main squad.
Joselu presence is not enough, Real Madrid still needs other players up front because several players who have been part of the squad have left. Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Mariano Diaz and Eden Hazard. Relying on Joselu is clearly impossible, Real Madrid is still trying to bring in a few more players in order to maintain the depth of their squad to compete with Barcelona in La Liga and other big clubs in the UCL.
So far, I haven't heard much news regarding Don Carlo who is hunting for a striker as Karim Benzema's successor. or maybe, I don't know much about Madrid's target in this summer's transfer window. but certainly, this summer's transfer window still gives plenty of time for Madrid to hunt for a suitable player to replace Benzema. although, most of the rumors are between Madrid, Mbappe and PSG. therefore, I doubt if Madrid will bring in a striker to fill the void left by the previous star. So far, Madrid has inaugurated Joselu as the newest recruit to welcome the 2023/2024 competition. this 33-year-old striker, signed on loan from Espanyol with a one-year contract duration until 30 June 2024.
It's only natural that there are a lot of doubts from Real madrid fans towards Joselu, because this player doesn't have a big name like most of the strikers who have played with El Real. but we don't know for sure, how Joselu will play his skills when the new season's competition has started. and for sure, he is a player who will be a center forward. if we relate it to other rumors, it is very natural that Don Carlo or the president of Madrid did not bring in a striker who could be relied on far from Joselu. because, they could get Mbappe next season for free. or, indeed Madrid will bring in Mabppe this season. for sure, we'll just have to wait and see what Don Carlo will do ahead of the pre-season match.
