I doubt if Chelsea really want to sign Maguire. There is nothing special about this player, he is just a controversial defender. I'm sure it is a rumor only, Chelsea will never try to negotiate with Man United to sign Maguire. Anyway, I agree that Maguire is better to leave Man United because he is probably difficult to get a chance playing regularly there. Not sure which team is serious to sign him, but he should leave if there is an offer from other teams. His career won't be better if he stays in Man United, he can't compete with Varane and Martinez.
It won't be wise for him to remain at the club after his captain title has been removed You know Henry Maguire isn't playing that badly for his country side and Chelsea lack an experienced defender considering Tiago silver won't be staying for a very long time as he has aged and ready for retirement. Chelsea need a defender and we also need an active English player in the squad since Mason Mount has gone. Maguire mightn't just do well at the Chelsea defense as he's doing when playing for england.
We might never know, I think Manchester united was the wrong club for Henry Maguire to go as he was a good defender when he was at Leicester city. I don't see Chelsea going to any defender so far, we haven't been linked with any and we need strength at that position. We have our scouting team and if they have decided that Henry Maguire is the guy we should be relying on then I'll have to trust them. They have the best interest of the club at hand so any decisions they take is for the purpose of benefiting Chelsea. Let's see if future weeks bring out more news on this rumour
