I recently heard that Chelsea are very interested in rescuing Maguire from Manchester United and are considering signing him. I read from some news that now Chelsea has made an offer to Manchester United worth 40 million pounds. On the other hand, my question is whether Pochettino is sure he will bring in a player who is experiencing a decline in performance because it is clear that we know that recently Maguire has often made blunders at Manchester United. Chelsea is in the recovery phase and that means Pochettino really needs to choose a player who is performing well and then who can make a significant contribution to his squad.
That rumor can’t be true because everyone is aware of how Maguire has been a total flop for Manchester United and the blunders he commits are too silly. The rumor came up because of the injury wesley fofana sustained during the week and would be out for couple of months or probably out for the whole season. Fofana is part of the coachs plan for the season and so they are looking for a replacement to fill his space. I don’t think there will be any need to sign a new since Levi Colwill is available and the team has decided he is not for sell, Brighton are doing everything possible to sign him and they are even planning to include him in Caiceido’s deal.
Maguire is being linked to chelsea not because the manager wants him, pochettino clearly will have no use for maguire so why add such player to squad when the team is already flushing out players that are under performing. The team already have Silva and Badiashile already with Chaloba and Colwill to back them up in case of injuries.
At the moment it is still very difficult to get a major title with Manchester United and it will be his dream to win a major title one day.
I thought they can actually build on last season's success, release some fringe players, recruit new players and challenge City for the title until I heard about the resigning of Johnny Evans and I gave up on Manchester United. Based on the club's activity on the transfer market, they don't look ready to me. In my opinion, Arsenal looks more ready than Manchester United. Except they will have to sign another established center back and a striker before the transfer window closes to stand a chance.
Man United can attempt to assemble their team and attempt to contend for the title, but I don't believe they would pose much of a threat to City given the players they intend to bring into the team. They did well by replacing De gea with Onana, but no matter how excellent the goalkeeper is, he will still allow goals without a quality centre back.
