I think the polemic between Lukaku and Inter has officially ended because we know that there was news that Lukaku was more interested in Juventus' offer and soon Inter withdrew to make Lukaku permanent from Chelsea. Moreover, this annoyed one of the Inter Curva Nord ultras group who even made a statement of disappointment towards Lukaku. It's clear that Inter don't need to be confused with Serie A next season and Marcus Thuram is felt to be enough to fill in next season's starters.
It's clear that Inter Milan are very disappointed with Lukaku did, when he chose to be close to Juventus. It reasonable if Inter withdraw, considering that Marcus Thuram also already at there, who clearly has more potential in the future. Meanwhile, currently Lukaku get bad situation, reportedly Juventus prefer to recruit Folarin Balogun from Arsenal or Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid rather than Lukaku.
After all, which team would want to be played by a player whose performance is not even that stable. Maybe Inter want to show they can afford another striker even if Lukaku doesn't want to accept Inter's offer. As one of Europe's big teams, I think this provides a real example so that all players have more respect for the team they are defending as long as they provide support and are willing to accept everything, instead of having a big head trying to accept offers from other teams.

But I also heard that Juventus are now starting to stay away from Lukaku because they are getting a lot of pressure from the fans to cancel the contract with Lukaku. This also made Lukaku finally contact Inter again to ask about his availability to defend Inter again starting next season, but in my opinion it was too late and there was no place for Lukaku to be at Inter. I think the attacking options for Juventus are quite good, especially if they bring in Alvaro Morata it will actually make Juventus so comfortable with the experience they have.
