True, there was an issue that Manchester City was hit by financial fair play violations from 2009-2018, but now there is no longer this issue. When it comes to Pep Guardiola wanting to leave in 2025, it is very interesting if he is looking for new challenges. Once he came close to winning a Treble with Bayern Munich, but now the only other challenge left for him in club football is to win another Treble in either Germany, Italy, or France.
But I feel that if Pep Guardiola leaves he will move to PSG or to Serie A to see if he can do the impossible and win the champions league for them. If he wins the Italian and French leagues he will be the only winner of the top five leagues under Ancelotti. On the other hand when he left England two years later. He will forever be remembered as Man City's finest manager.
I concur to your statement but I think he'll want to stay for a season or two more before leaving England since he's already had a Treble with them and winning about 5 Premier league trophies since he arrived in 2016 in Manchester City, I believe he's going to depend the trophy this season and try to prove himself as the greatest coach in England after Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United, he's trimed his squads by letting go of some world class players that made it possible for them to be crowned the UEFA Champions League Winner so therefore I thinking defending it is not going to come easy though they'll have a great performance and could participate in another final again.
Anyways Pep is a great coach and is not scared of facing new challenges so there's a tendency that may seize to be the Manchester City coach after this season, I feel he'll prefer moving to France than Italy or Germany again, he has the winning, mentality, tactics and ability to scout and transform veteran players into world class so he'll want to join a club that would listen to his demands and back him up with funds like Manchester City did and PSG would be the rightful club capable of doing that, they'll be willing to get him at the snap of a finger as far a he declares his intentions to leave City, because he's a coach capable of giving them an opportunity of lifting the champions league trophy which they are desperately in need of.
