Real Madrid are going to have their last season with Ancelotti. I guess Ancelotti would like to say a decent goodbye to the team before his departure. Last season was pretty bad for them. They couldn't be competitive enough not only in the La Liga but also the Champions League. This was a big decline considering the season before that one.
To some extent, their performance was admirable especially in the champions league competition. They were able to go as far to the semifinals of the competition before they were eliminated. Like you said, they were not focus on only one trophy which made them distracted and lost all in the end.
Ancelloti having his last season with Real Madrid will want to leave with good record, I suppose the upcoming season will be full of great football from his players. He’s a great coach and I believe he can make Real Madrid better than they were this past season before he finally leaves the club to another.
