A very exciting match took place between Chelsea and Brighton with a final score of 4-3 for the victory of Pochettino's troops. Even though this is a pre-season match, I'm still speechless with Chelsea's performance in this match, they don't look like last season, who were always careless and even always had trouble scoring goals. But in this match, we can see that Mudryk finally scored his first goal for Chelsea, even though it was only in a pre-season match. However, if we look at the footage of his goal, it is very clear that his passing duet with Nikolas Jackson made this goal great.
Chelsea actually had the upper hand with many goals, but Brighton also didn't want to be outdone by this landslide score and they managed to cut the difference in numbers. I'm still curious about whether Chelsea will be able to maintain its current performance or if this will only be temporary. We should look forward to the performance of Pochettino's squad in the EPL next season.
Finally, I can see how most expensive players sign by Chelsea last season Mykhailo Mudryk can celebrate after scoring goals on pre season match. Its looks funny because need waiting until several months later to see with Mykhailo Mudryk scoring goals and make celebrate. unforgettable for Mykhailo Mudryk because he was long time not scoring goals yet for Chelsea although against Brighton Albion as pre season match its enough for him how to celebrate goals and prepare for next season.
I don't think have been final formation from Pochettino, its still pre season matches and Chelsea have three friendly matches and possibilities with many composition player change before preparing final squad in Primer League games.
Pochettino seems to be able to bring big changes to the Chelsea squad. Even though his decision to sell many great players from the club invited various comments from football fans and from football observers. But now he can prove that he can make a strong Chelsea squad with the players he keeps at the club.
But for me Chelsea's performance in that match was not strong enough to compete in the Premier League title race. Their back line still looks quite weak. Because actually Brighton players don't seem too difficult to penetrate the Chelsea defense. Well, this is only a pre-season match, so of course Pochettino is definitely still not finished setting the best strategy for Chelsea. Because the real strategy will definitely be shown in real matches when the season starts later.
I personally also appreciate Brighton in that match because they continued to play pretty well and were able to keep up with Chelsea's game even though from the 60th minute Brighton only played with 10 players.
