The priority for Real Madrid right now is the need for Strikers. After Benzema's departure from the team, they still could not transfer a quality name to this region. They do not have big problems in defense, but of course, they may want to transfer to the defense. I think they should devote the budget to striker transfers instead. Joselu can be a good backup striker and needs a star striker.
A striker is a priority that must be recruited immediately by Real Madrid and they must get a player who has quality. Until now Mbappe and Hary Kane, who are reported to be the targets of Real Madrid, have not received certainty and even Bayern Munich has been linked with Hary Kane, although for now there is no clarity regarding their future. If Harry Kane goes to Bayern Munich then Mbappe is one of the best options, but until now Real Madrid has also not been able to make an agreement with PSG regarding Mbappe.
Joselu is better off as a cover for the main striker because his experience is not yet tested and he needs adaptation when he plays regularly for Real Madrid. For other positions Real Madrid has quality players and so far there hasn't been a problem. The front line must be a priority so that next season you don't lose a goalscorer who has strong instincts.
I believe Real Madrid does not have a big problem with the striker. Joselu can certainly do the work for Real Madrid. But is it going to be good enough? Benzema was a one season wonder for Real Madrid. He was not able to perform well in the last season and Real Madrid suffered a lot. I also think that Real Madrid was counting on Benzema, a little too much to be honest.
Of course, it would be better for Real Madrid if they can get Mbappé, Harry Kane or Victor Osimhen. But the problem is Victor Osimhen is not leaving napoli. Tottenham is trying hard not to sell Harry Kane and that’s why they are giving him a huge price tag. And we all love the drama around Mbappé. I think Joselu will be above average for Real Madrid. But I don’t think being above-average is going to be enough for Real Madrid.
