Consistency was a problem for Arsenal last season but I think what Arteta has done in the transfer market this summer is to improve on their weaknesses last season by recruiting several potential players who have the same quality as the core players so that there are no game changes when there is a rotation in the middle or at the end of the competition.
The power of money cannot change, but everything needs a process. After being handled by Arteta, there have been many positive changes for the Arsenal team, and I believe in the process that Arteta is doing to make Arsenal even better.
The Arsenal squad already has good quality, but as far as I know they don't fully have a winning mentality. Arsenal are still struggling to get out of the pressure like last season, but gradually this can be changed as the players mature.
The same thing happened to Manchester City in the Champions League, even Pep Guardiola admits it. In the end experience has given them the mentality that ultimately helped Manchester City win its first title. Arsenal also have the opportunity to do so, but of course they have to learn from past experiences.
Well they're still under the process of building a very tough squad that would challenge for a very long time and that's why they hired Mikel Arteta who has a mentality for recruiting young talented players as their manager, aslo because of the experience he's had under Pep Guardiola in Manchester City and if you observe there's a similarity in the style of play of both managers, and gradually Arteta would instil that winning mentality to his squad, they took everyone by surprise last year, and had a very good start at the early stages of the competition
and most people even thought they were going to win the league
though they lost their position to City and bottle it, too bad.
Left for me I think the squad is okay and strong enough to take on any team in the league but there's still some areas they need to strengthen which is the defence, and hopefully is going to be different this year because they've added some tough players into various areas of the squad and even introduced a player with a very good mentality in winning the ball, one thing i know for sure is that even if they don't win the league this season they'll very strong tittle contenders and would learn from their mistakes of last season.
