Simply stating Microsoft is not a good example for anything without further expanding on your point makes that a fairly poor argument.
Do I really need to post examples why I think microsoft is bad in this topic?This is going to be very long list and I dont want to go offtopic, but ask any security expert and he will explain it much better than me.
Microsoft Authenticator is pretty good. For example, to fight phishing, when logging into their services they display a number on the screen that you need to type into the authenticator. That is an awesome feature and makes logging in super secure from phishing standing point.
They didnt invent a wheel with Microsoft Authenticator and I would NEVER use this app for anything 
Nobody should use app that dont allow backup or export without microsoft account, I guess because they love spying people.
