Luck is something of a very small presentation to everyone, and in my opinion it is foolish to rely on luck, and one should in his right mind have to gamble when he has money ready to lose, otherwise it will result in regret and even worse.
The luck will matter if you are placing a bet and we can't ignore it but it should be on your rightful mind that if you don't have money to gamble you make wise moves and stay out of it otherwise it's full risk but if you are lucky your bet could give you stable position but we should not too much dependent on it in these cases.
