I beg to differ, the yearly volatility of bitcoin remains under 15% if you look at the last few years charts which concludes that the long term volatility is low which applies to hodlers, but the daily volatility may be higher and that only remains a concern for the day traders. Considering the OP, I guess they are long term holders in which case volatility cancels out itself and remains under a controlled ceiling value.

None the less, altcoins are should never be the first choice of serious investor, they should focus on bitcoin when it comes to crypto.
