The situation is getting more complicated so that PSG is really under pressure to sell Mbappe to anyone who is interested in him. I think Mbappe is just on the verge of leaving PSG at the moment, there is even a chance he will be sold before the new season starts.

Real Madrid seem relaxed about Mbappe's situation even though the player has wanted to play for Real Madrid a few seasons ago. I'm not sure Madrid are serious about signing him, but they will still open the door for Mbappe with a free transfer. Things will be updated soon, but PSG will obviously have to pay a loyalty bonus if Mbappe doesn't sold.
