With the present midfield and set of players at Liverpool at the moment,I don't think they can even contend for the tittle with the likes of Arsenal,Mancity,Newcastle or Manchester united next season,they weren't consistent last season because there was no solid midfielder at the team,now they have brought in Mac Alister,but I still think only one addition to the middle of the park cannot revive the whole team,they need like two good midfielders who will understand themselves and compliment each other in terms of play.
Even if your opinion is not completely wrong, I think Liverpool are part of the team that will fight for the title next season. Liverpool will be good and will definitely be better than last season but some new additions will definitely make them even better.
Apart from Alexis Mac Allister, Liverpool have also signed another midfielder, namely Dominik Szoboszlai. The former RB Leipzig midfielder was signed for a contract value of up to 70 million euros, so of course he will be a great addition for Liverpool next season. So it's not too bad to expect Liverpool to be one of the title contenders next season instead of Manchester City or Arsenal and Manchester United.
