It is true that Arteta has a good plan for Arsenal next season, but according to what we have seen in the preseason so far, they are not like the way the were last season. There preseason was one that they really enjoyed, because they won all their matches and loose none.It will be good if Arteta goes to the transfer market and sign atleast one more midfielder like Douglas Luiz should Incase injury comes on in.
You cannot use preseason performance to judge how a team is going to fare in the up coming season. But so far I'm impressed with the job Arteta is doing and Arsenal's activity in the transfer market, they were able to get some top quality players to strengthen the team and give them a better chance of claiming the title from Manchester City. Hope everything goes to plan and Arteta is able to deliver atleast one trophy for the gunners next season.
The focus for Arteta will be to make Havertz and Declan Rice develop and Understanding with Martin Ødegaard. Partey was almost out of the team, but it looks like a last minute decision has kept him in the club, for the now until maybe there is news of an interested club.
With the purchase of Declan Rice from WestHam United, one might feel Partey's role in the team would be limited but the gunners will be playing in four competitions next season, so Arteta would need all of his guns to be firing. Arteta has reiterated that he wants Partey to stay because he's part of his plans for next season.
